New Plant            

    Where the old office building stood for 15 years, Halifax Paving with intentions of growing and becoming more environmentally friendly, tore down the three story office building and replaced it with a brand new "green" asphalt plant. As opposed to running solely on large diesel-powered-generators, the new plant runs mostly on electricity. The new asphalt plant is not only efficient, but cleaner. It is able to produce up to 400 tons of asphalt an hour, which is more than the combined effort of the previous two plants. The new plant has four silos that at full capacity can hold 200 tons of asphalt for up to three days. The old plant will be taken apart and shipped to Saudi Arabia, for it to be re-built and used again.
